Practitioner Registration

Employee Assistance Program Australia (EAP) aims to encourage Australian workplaces to take active steps to create mentally healthy workplaces and for their workers to be able to access appropriate services which will promote mental and social well-being. This will be achieved by employers, employees and practitioners working collaboratively together.

Mental health practitioners, such as psychologists, as well as other health practitioners, who are registered with Medicare and who have a strong  and ethical interest in providing support to Australian workers and businesses and prepared to work in accordance with our terms and conditions as per below are encouraged to register their interest.

Please ensure that you have read and consent to the following terms and conditions before proceeding with registration.

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  1. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and have a Medicare Provider Number.
  2. I agree to use the first contact session with the client to ascertain the client's needs and to determine whether funding should be sought through the employer, Medicare, Workcover, TAC or other and to assist in this process and that this initial contact session will not be billed.
  3. I agree not to charge the client but instead to seek payment through Bulk Billing Medicare, Workcover, TAC, Crime Compensation or applying for authorization for payment from the employer by first contacting EAP Australia for details. The maximum payment from the employer is $85.00 per consultation with a maximum number of sessions per client per year as determined by the employer and who is to be billed directly.
  4. I agree to see clients within 7 days of referral and if unable to do so to advise Employee Assistance Program Australia of this as promptly as possible.
  5. I agree to see clients after hours and on weekends.
  6. I agree to immediately inform Employee Assistance Program Australia if I am unable to continue to provide services.
  7. I agree to adhere by the guidelines of the National Privacy Principles.
